About us
European Manufacturer of Specialty Flexible Packaging Films
Bioxpack is a European manufacturer of specialty flexible packaging films — BOPP, BOPE and biodegradable grades — designed for converters and brand owners who need technical performance, machine compatibility and sustainable packaging solutions that go beyond commodity.
We operate in a market undergoing fundamental transformation. Across Europe, regulatory requirements are reshaping material choices, recyclability has become a baseline expectation, and performance standards remain uncompromised. Bioxpack was built to respond to this reality — combining deep industrial expertise with a focused specialty film portfolio, developed and validated for real converting environments.
Built on Industrial Expertise
Bioxpack’s technical foundation rests on over 35 years of experience in biaxial film extrusion and polymer formulation. Our team brings decades of hands-on expertise in film production, converting process validation and specialty grade development — expertise accumulated across multiple generations of extrusion technology and a wide range of flexible packaging applications.
This industrial heritage is not cosmetic. It shapes how we develop films — from polymer formulation and barrier optimisation through to machine-side validation on customer converting lines.
When we develop a grade for infusion sachet packaging or for mono-material PE lamination, it is tested against the real constraints of the machines and processes our customers operate, not against laboratory benchmarks alone.
A Specialty Film Manufacturer
Our focus is specialty — grades engineered to solve specific converting problems that standard films cannot address.
This means a focused product range built around defined application needs : very low temperature sealing for high-speed flowpack lines, high-rigidity copolymer films for envelope window converting, mono-material BOPE structures for PE stream recyclability, metallized high-barrier grades that eliminate PVDC and aluminium foil, biodegradable grades for brands with specific end-of-life requirements. Each grade in our portfolio exists because a converting problem required a better answer than what was available.
Working with Bioxpack means working directly with the technical team that developed the film. We engage directly with packaging engineers, R&D teams and procurement managers to select the right grade, validate machine compatibility and support qualification trials.
Technical Capabilities
Our in-house R&D laboratories support the full development cycle — from polymer formulation and extrusion parameter optimisation through to optical, mechanical and barrier property validation. This internal capability allows us to develop custom formulations adapted to specific application constraints and to iterate rapidly when converting trials reveal the need for grade adjustment.
Key technical capabilities include advanced polymer formulation, precise control of stiffness, optics and barrier properties, single and double-side corona treatment, metallization and printing compatibility, and the development of sealable and non-sealable structures across both PP and PE polymer families. We support industrial validation directly on customer converting lines, ensuring that qualification is conducted under real production conditions.
Commitment to Sustainable Packaging
The packaging industry’s transition toward circular economy principles is not a future challenge for Bioxpack — it is the context in which our entire product range has been developed. Our BOPE films enable mono-material PE structures that replace mixed-polymer laminates incompatible with mechanical recycling. Our specialty BOPP grades include PVDC-free barrier options, downgauged structures that reduce plastic consumption, and mono-material PP configurations compliant with CEFLEX design-for-recycling guidelines. Our biodegradable film range goes beyond recyclability to address the most demanding environmental specifications.
Our objective is clear : to design packaging films that remain compliant, recyclable and relevant in 2030 and beyond — turning regulatory pressure into practical industrial solutions, without compromising performance.
Quality & Certification
Bioxpack operates under BRC Packaging Materials certification — one of the most recognised quality and food safety standards in the flexible packaging industry. This certification covers our manufacturing processes, quality management systems and product traceability, and provides converters and brand owners with the assurance framework required for food contact applications.
All Bioxpack films are free from bisphenol A, phthalates and heavy metals. Technical data sheets with full property tables and test method references are available for every grade in our portfolio.
Work with us
Whether you are evaluating a new film for a current project, transitioning from a non-recyclable laminate structure, or developing a new packaging format that requires a custom specialty grade, our technical team is available to support you from grade selection through to line qualification.
